Tarver Merendsen is a POV character in These Broken Stars and a major character throughout the trilogy. He is one of the two survivours of the Icarus, which crashed into an uninhabited terraformed planet (Elysium). He is now engaged to his fellow survivour Lilac LaRoux, and is resigned from the military.
His brother, Alec, was killed serving in the military. His mother, Emily Davis, is a renowned poet.
Prior to the events of the series, he served in the military alongside Jubilee Chase on Patron and is considered a war hero.
